RBI Grade B 2018 Recruitment Notification & Exam Dates

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will be coming up with recruitment notification for Grade B Officers from eligible candidates in various offices of the Bank. Selection for RBI Grade B Officers will be done through a country-wide competitive Examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by an Interview.

RBI Grade-B Notification 2018
RBI Officers (Grade-B) Notification 2018 has not been released yet. The official notification is tentatively going to be released in May 2018.  The online application for the same will begin after the release of official notification of RBI Grade B 2018.

RBI Grade-B Dates 2018
The preliminary exam of the RBI Grade B 2018 Exam will be tentatively scheduled in the month of June 2018. While, the mains exam of this exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of July 2018. RBI Grade B 2017 exam follows a three phase selection process. Candidates who get selected after Mains exam are called for interview process. Here's the complete schedule:

Preliminary Examination (200 Marks): The Paper consisted tests of (i) General Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning, with a composite time of 120 minutes.

Interview (50 marks): Candidates were shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Candidates were given the option to opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection was through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both - Preliminary and Main examination)
There as a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth of the marks assigned to that question was deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. No marks are deducted for un-attempted questions.

A total of 161 vacancies for RBI Officers (Grade-B) post were released last year. Vacnacies for 2018 will be announced with the release of the official notification. Examination centres for RBI Officers (Grade-B) examinations are there in almost 35 States and Union Territories.

RBI Officers (Grade-B) Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria include Age limit and Educational qualification. For RBI Officers (Grade-B) 2016 examination the lower and upper age limits were 21 years and 30 years respectively. Educational Qualification: A minimum of aggregate 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations.

RBI Assistant Prelims  2017 Recruitment Exam is over, Now it's time for the much-awaited exam Analysis & Review (26th Nov 2017).
The level of this shift's examination was Very Easy. You can expect this year's cut off to be high in comparison to last year's RBI Assistant Pre-cut off. English Section was very easy and somewhat vocab based. Numerical Ability section was word based similarly Reasoning Ability also had a good scope of scoring marks.

RBI Assistant Cut Off
The cut off of RBI Assistant 2017 Prelims Examination will be released post the conduction of the exam. The candidates who will qualify for the Prelims examination will be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination. The final cut off will be released after the conduction of Mains Examination.

RBI Assistant 2017 Notification
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Assistant 2017 notification for the 623 posts of Assistant in Various offices in the Bank.  Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI has introduced 623 vacancies for RBI Assistant 2017 Exam. Last year RBI Assistant had 610 vacancies. RBI Assistant vacancies also have reservations under various categories will be as per prevailing Government Guidelines at the time of finalisation of the result.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria include Age limit and Educational qualification. For RBI Assistant 2017 examination the lower and upper age limits are 20 years and 28 years respectively. Educational Qualification: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
RBI Assistant Salary
Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14650/- per month (i.e. ₹ 13150 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates) in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years) and other allowances , viz Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately ₹ 32528/- including House Rent Allowance @ of 15 %.
